JIC- Christmas

Hiya This weeks challenge over at JIC is"Winter" and our sponsor is Milk Coffee who is giving a prize of 3 images to the winner,

I used the image from Girl Playing in the Snow at Winter by Milk Coffee. I hope you like my card (sorry about the poor lighting).

The card is A5 in size and made from card from Jelly Bean Crafts. I used a pink paper from my stash and patterned paper is from Dreamees. The sentiment and image is cut on my Silhouette Portrait and matted on white paper, silver mirri board and a pink glitter pen. The icicles are also cut on my Silhouette Portrait. I added ribbon from my stash to finish the card off. I added white pearls for snowflakes, pink type or pearls, Stickles for the snow & ice. The image is coloured in with promarkers, here is  list of the colours I have used: Skin- Ivory, Vanilla, Blush, Saffron, Sunkissed Pink    Hair- Raw Sienna, Cocoa, Gold     Clothes- Crimson, Lipstick Red, Pale Pink, Pink Lobster, Rose Pink.

JIC - QKR, Beary Wishes, Delicious Doodles

This week the challenge over at JIC is"Vintage"and our sponsors are QKR Stampede who is giving 3 images to the winner, Beary Wishes who is giving 2 image sets to the winner & Delicious Doodles who is giving 4 images to the winner.

I used the image Rose Corner from Delicious Doodles, which is available to buy from her store.

The card is made using a Cream Aperture card blank, I the distressed it using a Tim Holtz Distress ink - Antique Linen (1st time ever). I then used a paper and cut some butterflies out of the extra bit I had and added them to the corners. I have added some Card Candi and a sentiment from my stash. I  used some glossy accents on the flower to make it look wet. The image is coloured in with promarkers and here is a list of the colours I have used -  Flower- Rose Pink, Pink Carnation, Blossom    Leaves- Leaf Green, Forest Green, Pine    Spots- Rose Pink, Purple, Mulberry, Carmine     Outside- Pink Lobster

JIC - Sassy Studio Designs, QKR Stampede - Paper Piecing

This week the challenge is Paper Piecing and our sponsors are Sassy Studio Designs who is giving a great prize of 4 images, QKR Stampede who I am unsure of what the prize is from them.

The Image I used is call Latte Momma by Sassy Studio Designs and is available to buy from their store. 

It was my 1st ever time at paper piecing so was a challenge for me, I decided to give myself a bit of a challenge and went for 5 layers not just 1. Below is a photo of my paper piecing the verison on the computer so that you can see the different patterns, as the photo of the card you can't see the patterns on the jeans and shoes properly. Here is the picture of the image and of my card.

The card is A5 size and I made it for my best friends birthday. I used card from Papermill to make the card blank. The green patterned paper is from Kanban and the purple papers used behind the image and 2 layers of the flower are from Forever Friends paper pack. The sentiments are from Tatty Teddy and backed onto purple card with silver edging, these are from my stash. The image is backed onto a silver from which is also from my stash. The flower is made using a Marianne flower die, I used silver and glitter paper from my stash, as-well as the Forever Friends papers I mentioned before. I then finished off the card with white pearls.The papers I used to do the paper piecing are freebie papers but I can't remember where from, if anyone knows then just let me know in the comments and I will then give credit to the artists. The image is coloured in with Promarkers, here is a list of the colours I have used: Eyes- Cyan   Lips- Berry Red
Skin- Vanilla, Ivory, Saffron, Sunkissed Pink, Rose Pink      Hair- Terracotta, Raw Sienna, Chestnut.
